Collaboration on GNSS-denied UAV solution by DTC and Inertial Labs

Domo Tactical Communications (DTC) and Inertial Labs have joined forces to create an advanced integrated solution for UAV manufacturers and end users. This collaboration combines the expertise and technologies of both companies to develop a comprehensive navigation, command and control (C2), and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) system.

The key component of this new solution is DTC’s Manet Mesh radio, equipped with MeshUltra product family waveforms, which is designed to deliver robust, high-bandwidth C2 and ISR links. This technology enables uncrewed vehicles to operate effectively even in challenging RF environments. By integrating Inertial Labs’ inertial navigation system (INS) with DTC’s Mesh-based RF ranging capability, the vehicles can continue functioning when space-based positioning systems are unavailable due to factors such as jamming, spoofing, or limited sky view.

The INS provides critical features such as assured position, navigation, and timing (APNT), as well as alternative navigation (ALTNAV) solutions directly to the uncrewed vehicles. This integrated system is aimed at enhancing the performance and reliability of UAVs in various operational scenarios, ensuring seamless connectivity and navigation capabilities even in the most challenging conditions.

Overall, this partnership between DTC and Inertial Labs represents a significant step forward in the development of cutting-edge solutions for the unmanned systems industry, ultimately paving the way for more efficient and reliable UAV operations in the future.
