City environment secures million in funding.

Urban Jungle, a London-based insurance technology startup, has successfully raised million in funding. The funding round included support from Intact Ventures, Ingka Investments, Mundi Ventures, Eka Ventures, Sony Innovation Fund, and angel investors such as former Prudential UK CEO Rob Devey. This brings the total amount raised by the company to million.

The purpose of this funding is to further expand its UK Home insurance business, explore new verticals, and continue to grow its team through hiring efforts.

Founded in 2017 by Jimmy Williams and Greg Smyth, Urban Jungle specializes in providing home insurance for both renters and homeowners. By leveraging technology, such as AI and Machine Learning, the company aims to make insurance more affordable and accessible for its customers. With a strong focus on online services, Urban Jungle has already established a customer base of over 200,000 and currently employs 70 staff in England.

This latest funding milestone marks a significant step forward for Urban Jungle as it looks towards continued growth and innovation in the insurance technology space.
