‘Celebrating the 2024 GW Proud Events’

The annual Proud to Be GW festival was a resounding success this year, taking place on June 5 and June 6 at both the Foggy Bottom and Virginia Science and Technolgy (VSTC) campuses. University employees were treated to a fun-filled event with free food from a variety of food trucks, live music, games, artists’ caricatures, GW swag, and various giveaways.

The event was hosted by the Human Resource Management and Development team, with the Foggy Bottom celebration taking place at the University Student Center and the VSTC celebration held outside of Enterprise Hall. Proud to be GW is a yearly celebration that aims to honor the hard work and dedication of GW staff and faculty, showing gratitude for their service to the university.

Moments from the celebration were beautifully captured by GW Today photographer William Atkins, showcasing the festive atmosphere and joyful participation of employees. The event not only provided a chance for employees to relax and enjoy themselves but also served as a token of appreciation for their invaluable contributions to the university.
