British Airways Resumes Daily Flights to Abu Dhabi, Strengthening UAE-UK Connections

British Airways has made a notable return to Abu Dhabi, reintroducing daily flights to the region after a hiatus of four years. The airline will operate a Boeing 787-9 aircraft on a year-round basis, offering services from London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi. This move solidifies the connections between the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom, promising enhanced connectivity for travelers for various purposes including leisure, business, or visiting family and friends.

Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and CEO at Abu Dhabi Airports, expressed excitement about the renewed partnership, emphasizing the benefits it will bring to both business and tourism. Calum Laming, Chief Customer Officer at British Airways, highlighted the airline’s dedication to delivering exceptional service and expanding its global reach.

The flight, BA073, departs from London Heathrow at 22:25 and arrives in Abu Dhabi at 08:30 the next day. The return flight, BA072, leaves Abu Dhabi at 10:10 and lands back in London Heathrow at 15:20.

Speaking on the occasion, Elena Sorlini stated, “We extend a warm welcome to British Airways as they resume operations at Zayed International Airport with a daily schedule that promises to enhance connectivity for both business and tourism.” In response, Calum Laming expressed his enthusiasm for the Abu Dhabi route launch, emphasizing the exceptional service and extensive network that British Airways offers its customers.
