“Brio Living Shifts Focus to Independent Living and Introduces Community Expansions, Fresh Lifestyle Brand”

Brio Living Services, a senior living provider based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is making strategic moves to drive future growth. The company, which operates multiple senior living communities and offers home care services, is focusing on right-sizing skilled nursing and expanding into independent living development.

With a total revenue of 5 million in 2023, Brio Living Services has a clear financial roadmap outlined by CEO Steve Fetyko for continued success. Chief of Residential Services Nicole Maag emphasized that the company is shifting towards a proactive approach to growth and is focused on building out its offerings as quickly as possible.

The company is currently expanding independent living options at select properties and has relaunched its Avenues home care program. Additionally, Brio Living Services is piloting new programming and lifestyle offerings at its communities, with plans to roll them out more broadly in the future.

One of the key initiatives driving growth is the expansion into independent living, driven by demand for a more medium-sized living model. This new model, The Ravines: The Village View, will provide an intimate community setting with lower operating costs than traditional IL or cottage-style living.

The decision to pivot towards lower acuity care was also influenced by changes in Medicare Advantage plans and increased demand for independence among senior living prospects. By focusing on enhancing staffing retention and recruitment, Brio Living Services aims to create stability and position the organization for future success.

Overall, the company’s leadership is optimistic about the opportunities ahead and believes that strategic initiatives will enable Brio Living Services to be proactive, creative, and poised for growth in the senior living industry.
