Bilal Parvaiz Named CEO of Standard Chartered Saadiq Malaysia

Standard Chartered Saadiq Malaysia has announced the appointment of Bilal Parvaiz as its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective March 15, 2024. He will be taking over from Mohd Suhaimi Abdul Hamid, who is stepping down to pursue other opportunities.

Bilal will be reporting to Standard Chartered Malaysia CEO Mak Joon Nien and Standard Chartered Saadiq CEO of group Islamic banking Khurram Hilal, according to a statement released by the bank.

With a career spanning four years at Standard Chartered Saadiq in the United Arab Emirates, Bilal joined Saadiq Malaysia in 2014. He most recently served as the head of Islamic corporate, commercial, and institutional banking.

Saadiq Malaysia operates as the Islamic banking subsidiary of Standard Chartered Malaysia, further solidifying the bank’s commitment to providing Islamic financial services in the region.
