Award-Winning Alfred Wong Named Chief Creative Officer at VML Hong Kong

Award-winning creative leader Alfred Wong has recently joined VML Hong Kong from Media Arts Lab Shanghai (MAL), Appleā€™s bespoke agency. As the executive creative director of MAL, Alfred played a crucial role in raising the creative bar to a world-class level and producing impactful work that influenced culture in China.

With a background in Leo Burnett Hong Kong and experience as the chief creative officer at ADK in Shanghai, Alfred has a proven track record of transforming agencies with integrated thinking and elevating creative standards. His notable accomplishments include winning awards for his Shot on iPhone films “Nian” and “The Comeback” at prestigious festivals such as Tribeca X and Cannes Lions.

Alfred has accumulated over 200 trophies throughout his career, ranking him as the #2 Creative Director in Asia. He has worked with a diverse range of clients, from consumer goods to finance to food and beverage, including Apple, Sony, Samsung, P&G, and McDonald’s.

Reflecting on his decision to join VML, Alfred expresses his excitement about the fusion of technology and creativity, which he believes empowers him to create work that is fresh and out-of-the-box.
