Archer Aviation Inc. has signed a memorandum of understanding with Etihad Training to recruit and train pilots for its Midnight aircraft in Abu Dhabi. The partnership aims to support the operation of Archer’s electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft across the UAE. The announcement was made at the Future Aviation Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

As part of the agreement, Archer will provide a Midnight aircraft simulator to Etihad Training’s center in Abu Dhabi to develop pilot training competencies and obtain regulatory certifications. Etihad Training will work with the GCAA to establish pilot training requirements in the UAE to ensure safe and efficient operations of Archer’s aircraft.
