‘Annual Event Comes Back to Williamson Park in Lancaster’
Williamson Park in Lancaster is gearing up for another exciting edition of the Big Family Day Out, organized by Northern Powerhouse Events, the team behind the popular Highest Point Festival. Scheduled for Sunday, May 12th, this year’s event promises a day filled with Celtic rock, dinosaurs, owls, archery, and more.
The main stage will feature performances by MC Grammar, the rapping teacher who became a World Book Day hero, as well as Scottish favorites Peat & Diesel. Local talents Molly Warburton and George Lawson will also grace the stage, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
Rich Dyer from Northern Powerhouse Events expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, stating that the Big Family Day Out is always a highlight of their calendar. With a wide range of activities that cater to all ages and interests, the event is known for selling out and bringing people together for a day of fun and entertainment.
Aside from the musical performances, attendees can look forward to attractions such as the Dinosaurs of Lancaster area, sensory classes from Hartbeeps, and entertainment from Beyond Radio and Stagecoach Performing Arts. The World Owl Trust will also debut at the event in 2024, allowing visitors to meet these majestic birds up close and try their hand at archery.
Tickets for adults are priced at £15, while children aged 5-17 can attend for £10. The event is family-friendly, with children under five granted free entry. Additionally, the event is fully accessible and offers free tickets for carers.
