‘Al Qusais Industrial road projects finished by RTA’

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has successfully completed the internal roads and lighting project in five Al Qusais Industrial areas, significantly increasing road capacity from 500 vehicles per hour to 1,500.

The extensive project included the construction of 32 roads spanning 10 kilometers and the installation of streetlights along 43,000 meters in Al Qusais Industrial areas one, two, three, four, and five.

Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, emphasized the project’s alignment with the directives of UAE leaders, including His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The focus on upgrading infrastructure in residential and industrial areas aims to support the increasing population and urbanization in Dubai, ultimately enhancing well-being and promoting happiness.

The upgraded internal roads now offer improved connectivity to Amman Street, Beirut Street, Aleppo Street, and Damascus Street, along with enhanced access to over 320 workshops, 25 residential buildings, shops, and educational facilities. Approximately 60,000 residents in the area are set to benefit from these enhancements.

Overall, the completion of this project reflects the RTA’s commitment to enhancing transportation infrastructure and supporting the growth and development of Dubai’s industrial areas.
