Air Arabia Resumes Flights to Basra in Iraq

Air Arabia, the leading low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, has announced the resumption of its flights to Basra in Iraq from Sharjah International Airport. The new route will operate four times a week, connecting Sharjah and Basra.

This new route to Basra is the fourth direct route to Iraq from Sharjah for Air Arabia, following Baghdad, Najaf, and Erbil. The airline’s aircraft was welcomed at Basra International Airport with a traditional water cannon salute and a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by representatives from both Air Arabia and the airport.

Adel Al Ali, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, expressed his excitement about the new flights to Basra and emphasized the airline’s commitment to providing affordable travel options in the region. He highlighted the opportunity for customers to benefit from Air Arabia’s value-driven services and strengthen travel and trade ties between the two countries.

This resumption of flights to Basra signifies a significant milestone for Air Arabia and their dedication to enhancing connectivity in the region.
