Abdullah bin Zayed discusses issues with Hungarian counterpart

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, recently visited Budapest for a working meeting with Péter Szijjártó, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.

During their meeting, Minister Szijjártó warmly welcomed Sheikh Abdullah and the two discussed various aspects of cooperation between the UAE and Hungary. They explored opportunities to enhance collaboration in areas such as economics, commerce, investment, tourism, and logistics, with the aim of benefiting both countries and their citizens.

The two diplomats reviewed the March agreement on economic cooperation and stressed the importance of strengthening trade and economic ties between the UAE and Hungary, as well as fostering connections between the private sectors of the two nations.

Sheikh Abdullah underscored the strong bilateral relations between the UAE and Hungary, expressing a joint commitment to establishing a sustainable cooperation model that supports their mutual goals of comprehensive development.

In addition to economic matters, Sheikh Abdullah and Minister Szijjártó also discussed current events in the Middle East, particularly the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. They emphasized the need for regional and international efforts to achieve a lasting ceasefire that ensures the security and well-being of all civilians.

To further strengthen ties, Minister Szijjártó hosted an Iftar feast in honor of Sheikh Abdullah and his team, with the presence of the UAE Ambassador to Hungary, Saud Hamad Al Shamsi, and Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri.

The meeting between Sheikh Abdullah and Minister Szijjártó highlights the commitment of both countries to deepening their cooperation and fostering goodwill between the UAE and Hungary.
