‘Family forum held at Juvenile Care Centre in Al Mafraq by ADJD’
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) recently organized a family forum at the Juvenile Care Centre in Al Mafraq, in conjunction with Zayed Humanitarian Day. This annual event, which coincides with the 19th day of Ramadan, aims to promote humanitarian values and foster a spirit of generosity and charitable work among juveniles. The initiative is in line with the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who was known for his efforts in spreading goodness and tolerance in society.
The decision to hold the event during the Holy month of Ramadan was made following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the ADJD. The aim is to intensify initiatives that focus on instilling noble values in the hearts of juveniles and rehabilitating them as active members of society.
The Family Forum brought together families of minors placed in care centers, providing them with an opportunity to learn about the benevolent acts of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The late Sheikh Zayed was known for his unconditional support to those in need, regardless of their background or nationality.
During the event, participants also learned about the importance of humanitarian action, the culture of giving, and the values of assistance, solidarity, and coexistence. Such messages of hope are meant to inspire individuals and contribute to the nurturing of a positive spirit within the community.
To conclude the forum, the young people and their families shared a Ramadan Iftar with the workers and staff of the Juvenile Care Centre. Additionally, gifts were distributed to the workers as a token of appreciation for their dedication and hard work.
