Massive AI-Powered Robot Tank with Green Eyes Unveiled by US Government

The Pentagon has unveiled a new autonomous tank with glowing green eyes, adding a spooky element to the future of artificial intelligence-powered devices. This massive robotic tank, developed under the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) Robotic Autonomy in Complex Environments with Resiliency (RACER) program, measures 20 feet in length and weighs approximately 12 tons.

Capable of reaching speeds up to 25 miles per hour, this tank can navigate rough terrain autonomously, including heavy vegetation, ditches, and rocks. To give it an intimidating appearance, engineers installed two glowing lights at the front of the tank, resembling green eyes. However, these lights serve as status indicators for the vehicle and have no other function.

Powered by artificial intelligence, DARPA’s goal for this robot tank is to achieve platform agnostic autonomy of combat-scale vehicles in complex off-road environments that are far more unpredictable than on-road conditions. With cutting-edge technology and advanced capabilities, this autonomous tank represents a new era in military innovation and warfare.
