‘2024 QS World University Rankings show improvement for ADU’

Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has achieved high rankings in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject 2024. The university has made significant progress in the Social Sciences and Management broad subject areas, climbing 163 places. This has placed ADU as the top-ranked university in the UAE and 288th globally.

ADU has shown impressive growth in various narrow subject areas as well. The university has jumped 100 places in Business and Management Studies, now ranking 151-200 globally and first in the UAE. Additionally, ADU has risen 50 places in Engineering – Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing, now ranking 401-450 globally.

For the first time, ADU has entered the Accounting and Finance narrow subject ranking, securing a global position in the 251-300 range and second place in the UAE. The university has also debuted in the Engineering – Electrical and Electronic ranking, placed in the 501-530 rankings bracket. In another first-time entry, ADU has secured a global position in the 551-600 range in the Computer Science and Information Systems ranking.

Moreover, ADU’s Engineering and Technology narrow subject areas have seen an overall increase in scores. The biggest improvement was noted in the Computer Science and Information Systems ranking. Compared to the 2023 rankings, both the overall score for Engineering and Technology and its specific subject areas have improved. The highest increase in citations was observed in Computer Science and Information Systems, while Engineering – Electrical and Electronic saw significant growth in the Academic Reputation and Institutional Research Network (IRN).
