‘2024 Hexham Book Festival Offers Diverse Options for All’

The annual literary festival in Hexham is back with an exciting lineup of events for all book lovers. From renowned journalists to local authors, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The festival boasts big names like Alastair Campbell, Clare Balding, and Sarah Perry, along with opportunities for aspiring writers to participate in workshops and discussions.

While most events take place in the spring, there are also one-off events throughout the year in partnership with the Queen’s Hall, as well as a monthly book group at Forum Cinema. The festival extends its reach beyond Hexham with outreach programs in schools and libraries across the region, including a special family day called Storyland aimed at inspiring young festival-goers.

The festival covers a wide range of themes and topics all centered around the love of literature. Local author Paul Anthony Jones, known for his twitter account @HaggardHawks, will be at the festival promoting his latest book, Why is This a Question?. With intriguing questions like ‘what is a word?’ and ‘how do we read?’, Paul’s book promises to spark some fascinating discussions and insights into the world of linguistics. Don’t miss out on this exciting event for book enthusiasts of all ages.
