‘2024 Drive For Design Contest Winner: Lancia Zero Electric Sports Car Concept’
The 2024 Drive For Design Contest has announced its winners, and all three high school students have designed futuristic Lancias. Rohan Seiber took the top spot with the Lancia Zero electric sports car concept. Stellantis, the sponsor of the contest, required participants to design a future dream vehicle for any Stellantis brand by the year 2040, and the Lancia designs stood out among the entries.
Seiber’s winning concept features a wedge-like design, unique ‘banding’ treatment, sporty diffuser, and a sizable rear wing with integrated taillights. The second place went to Ryan Panizzoli for an unnamed liftback inspired by Dyson. Meanwhile, Owen Bronson clinched the third spot with the Lancia Pugnale, a modern interpretation of the 1970 Stratos Zero concept.
Apart from the recognition, the winners received an array of prizes. Seiber won a Wacom MobileStudio Pro 16 tablet and a summer design internship with the Ram Design Studio. Panizzoli and Bronson received an Apple iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, a scholarship to the VisCom1 summer program at the College for Creative Studies, and the chance to engage with the Stellantis Design Team.
Overall, the Drive For Design Contest showcased the creativity and talent of young designers, highlighting the potential for innovative and groundbreaking designs in the automotive industry.
