20% Rise in Registrations at Clerkenwell Design Week

Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW) kicked off this week with record-breaking pre-registrations, up by 20% from the previous year. The 13th edition of this global design festival is back in the EC1 neighborhood, offering a lineup of over 600 events supported by more than 160 local showrooms and 300 exhibitors across 12+ venues. Attendees have until May 23, 2024, to explore a range of cutting-edge designs, materials, and decorative accessories, including furniture and lighting.

One of the festival’s highlights is the collection of site-specific installations scattered throughout Clerkenwell. Standout installations include “Stay Playful (When No One Feels Like Playing)” by 2LG Studio, featuring a vintage helter-skelter in Spa Fields, and interactive light features like “Grid System” by artist Ben Cullen Williams at Light, and “PLUS” by Jestico + Whiles in collaboration with Bolon at Sutton Yard.

Notable collaborations in this year’s festival include Duffy London teaming up with surface designer Orsi Orban for “Gatekeepers” at St John’s Gate of the Order of St John. Additionally, two remarkable installations on Clerkenwell Green celebrate natural stone: “Brick from a Stone” by Artefact for Albion Stone and Hutton Stone, and “Stone Tapestry: Beyond the Surface” by Stone Federation.

Architects, specifiers, interior designers, and the general public are encouraged to register for free festival passes to experience the best of Clerkenwell Design Week until May 23, 2024.
