’14 employees from a utility company to take part in 5th Gov Games’

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is gearing up for the 5th Gov Games with fourteen employees set to represent the organization. The event is scheduled to take place from February 29 to March 3, 2024, under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.

Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources, and Chairman of DEWA’s Sports Committee, highlighted the importance of providing a positive and healthy work environment for employees. He emphasized the role of sports activities in promoting teamwork, a healthy lifestyle, social cohesion, and communication. Dr. Al Akraf expressed confidence in DEWA’s male and female teams, citing their past success in the Gov Games and their readiness to achieve exceptional results this year.

The female team comprises of Sarah Ibrahim, Rawdha Almansoori, Noura Alshamsi, Meera Almail, Maitha Albastaki, Nada Omar, and Noora Abdullatif. On the other hand, the male team includes Omar Alkhajaeh, Ali Alkhajeh, Khalifa Alawadhi, Ahmad Alzarooni, Mansoor Alblooshi, Sultan Alshamsi, and Hamdan Alshaali.

The employees are excited to showcase their skills and compete in the Gov Games, reflecting the sporting spirit that characterizes events in Dubai. DEWA continues to encourage its employees to participate in such activities, fostering physical and mental well-being while promoting teamwork and healthy competition.
